my husband got me Jackie Shaw's "The Big Book of Decorative Painting" as
a gift. It was my first
decorative
painting
book
and
it
has
remained
my
favourite
reference book even today. Jackie teaches everything from basic brushstrokes
to advanced techniques of decorative painting. In the book she
helps you deal not only with the technical aspects of painting
but the motivational as well. This book is definitely one that I would
recommend to every decorative painter - not just beginners
but all levels. Its also a very useful resource for teachers.
